Honoring service. Celebrating community.
Two days of athletics, wellness, family fun, and community spirit — presented by DYOR Clinic & SNDA in partnership with the Town of Chapel Hill. All proceeds support Project Refugee Smiles.
SmileFest brings together students, families, and community members through athletics, wellness programming, and meaningful engagement. Every ticket, every donation, every cheer directly supports Project Refugee Smiles — providing dental care to refugees and vulnerable communities both locally in the Triangle and globally.
“The DYOR Clinic is a relief organization founded in 2018 in honor of the late Deah, Yusor, and Razan. The clinic began as free dental service to refugees and low-income families to honor the legacy of service left by those three. Now, DYOR is evolving to become a community service body committed to developing a generation that bridges health and social inequities at a global scale.”
“The Student National Dental Association is an organization that empowers minority dental students and aspiring health professionals. Through school events and community initiatives, SNDA cultivates students to become confident and competent providers. The UNC Adam’s School of Dentistry chapter is also home to the CAARE Clinic, a free dental clinic tackling oral health disparities with accessible comprehensive care.”
“Project Refugee Smiles, the sister initiative to the DYOR Clinic, is a yearly dental service trip to deliver treatment abroad. Most recently, the team traveled to Egypt in the summer of 2025 and provided critical care to a population in desperate need for equal opportunity towards excellent oral health.”
